About the Creator

Hey, guys!

My name is Emily Wendland and I am the sole creator of hySYNTH.

I'm sophomore at the College of Charleston and am currently working towards a BA in Arts Management. Like most college students, I am not completely sure what I want to do with my life.

What I do know is that I am truly passionate about music, design, writing (and as of recent, website design) and hope that I may have a future where all these things can be combined. I was born and raised in the great state of New York but now reside in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina.

New Releases

"Salad Days" by Mac Demarco

Salad Days is Mac's second full length album. It was released April 1, 2014 through Captured Tracks. Just like his other album and EPs, Salad Days is an instant classic. The very talented Mac Demarco recorded all the vocals and instruments in his small apartment in New York.

"Here and Nowhere Else" by Cloud Nothings

The Cleveland-based band is back with possibly their best album yet. Here and Nowhere Else is full of the aggressively punk attitude we know and love. The album was released April 1st 2014.

"Lost in the Dream" by The War on Drugs

After a year-long recording process, The War on Drugs released Lost in the Dream on March 18, 2014. The opening song "Under the Pressure" has a classic rock feel to it. In contrast, the second track on the album "Red Eyes" is much more similar to the rock of today. It might remind you more of guitarist Kurt Vile's solo music (minus the elaborate guitar solos).
